Transcription: From Africa's southern tip to its northern coast, bands of climate and vegetation reflect the different temperature zones that are mirrored either side of the equator. The vast Sahara Desert is separated by dense rainforest from the Kalahari Desert in the south. Faults in the Earth's crust stretching up from the east coast formed the Great Rift Valley with its chains of volcanoes and huge lakes such as Lake Victoria. The Nile, the world's longest river, brings life to the desert. Its Mediterranean delta is an agricultural area supporting most of Egypt. Egypt.
